Staff

Receptionists

Diane Drewry, receptionist

Diane Drewry joined the front desk staff at Green Bay in 1999. Residents of Kenilworth, Diane's family has been clients at Green Bay since the hospital opened in 1972. Diane met her husband, Steve at the University of Kansas and they lived in Connecticut, Wisconsin and Indiana before settling in Wilmette. Diane and Steve have three grown children and two dogs and two cats.

Nancy Haras, receptionist, office manager

Nancy has been a part of the Green Bay family since 1980. She worked as a medical, dental and surgical technician for six years. In 1986 she went to part time to raise her family and is currently the office manager and front desk supervisor. She resides in the Northwest suburbs with her husband, three children, an Italian Greyhound and three cats.

Cheri Allen, Front Desk

Cheri Allen, personable, dynamic, able to answer the phone without looking. Part of the crack team and the Front Desk since 2003, Cheri has two labs, Emma and Lulu, who also like working where the action is. In her other life, Cheri owns "The Village Gardener", a design, installation and maintenance firm headquartered in Wilmette. She spends the warm months working outside in the earth.

Barbara Haljun

Born in the Mid-West, raised in California, Barbara returned to her roots here shortly after graduating from the University of Colorado and marrying her childhood sweetheart, Bill. Settled in Kenilworth they raised four children and brought all their pets to Green Bay Animal Hospital. For nearly 20 years Barbara worked as an independent contractor for the University of the South School of Theology training participants as mentors and facilitators. She has been part of the front desk team since 2004. Today she and Bill live in Winnetka. In addition to her work at Green Bay Animal Hospital, Barbara gardens and designs and leads intergenerational discussion groups. She is often joined by her dogs, O. Henry and Walden.

Gina Bennet

Before starting at Green Bay Animal Hospital in 1989 Gina groomed dogs for two years. Gina started working here as kennel help eventually being promoted to surgical technician. After working here many years full time she married and moved up north. Gina is now working part time as a receptionist and spends most of her time raising her family. Gina and her husband Danny have four children, two dogs, two cats, two gerbils and many fish.


Technicians

Eric Nelson, Technician

Eric Nelson joined the Green Bay Animal Hospital team in 2008. Prior to that he attended NYU and then worked for several years at the pet store up the road dealing with all manner of critters: hand-raising baby birds, bottle feeding kittens, and formulating fresh diets for lizards. He keeps a full house with a ten year old husky/shepherd mix named Rosie, a three year old toy poodle mix named Sam, a seven month old kitten named Opie, and the king of the castle, a four year old grey tabby named Duncan.

Maria Supersad, Senior Technician

Maria L. Supersad came on board Green Bay Animal Hospital in 1990. She is originally from Jamaica where she worked as a veterinary technician and office manager for six years. Maria is the head technician and inventory manager at Green Bay. She supervises and manages the laboratory, pharmacy, medical and surgical technician teams at the hospital. Maria resides in Evanston with her mother and two cats, Daisy Mae and Princess Jazzmyn.

Daria Lahn, Technician

Daria joined Green Bay Animal Hospital in 2008 as a technician. Prior to joining the practice she worked as an activity director in a residential nursing facility and as a pet groomer on the north shore. Daria received a B.A. in psychology from De Paul University in 2003. She resides in Evanston with her husband, their dogs Webbigail and Lola, and cats Zosia and Kot.

Marti Niemann

Marti has been a client of Green Bay Animal Hospital since moving to Kenilworth in 2005. Last year, she joined the staff where she works as both a technician and a receptionist. Marti is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from William Woods University with a degree in Business Administration. Marti has two daughters who graduated from New Trier and two French Bulldogs named Lulu and Ruby.

Maggie Shenton

Maggie grew up in Wilmette and attended the College of Wooster, majoring in Biology. She joined the Green Bay staff in 1993. Her duties include assisting in surgery, lab work and chemotherapy treatments.

Alicia O'Toole

Rachael Galvan Pradas
