Cynthia Menke, DVM — Chief of Staff
Dr. Cindy Menke, our Chief of Staff, grew up on her family’s small dairy farm in central Wisconsin. She attended the University of Wisconsin–River Falls and earned an early acceptance into the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine prior to finishing her undergraduate degree. In 1999, she married her husband David and moved to North Carolina. In 2002, Dr. Menke graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina State University. She practiced for a year in North Carolina before returning home to the Midwest.
Dr. Menke has been with Green Bay Animal Hospital since 2004. She enjoys all aspects of internal medicine and surgery. Dr. Menke believes strongly in client education, especially regarding pain management, senior pet care, and preventive medicine. She is passionate about continuing education and attends a major national veterinary convention each year to make sure she provides her patients with the latest information in veterinary medicine.
Erica Periman, DVM
Dr. Erica Periman grew up in Evanston, Illinois, attended Beloit College and graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. She spent over two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in South America where she started the first free spay/neuter clinic in the Galapagos Islands in conjunction with the Charles Darwin Station. After practicing in Jackson, Wyoming for many years, Dr. Periman moved back to Evanston in 2008 with her fabulous family.
Dr. Periman is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) as well as holding veterinary licenses in Illinois, Colorado and Wyoming. Her volunteer work includes working at a free spay/neuter clinic in Mexico every year through the non-profit organization VIDAS. Among the more obvious interests she has in veterinary medicine and surgery, she has strong interests in education, volunteerism and the human-animal bond.
Stephanie Fitzgerald, DVM
Dr. Steph Fitzgerald is thrilled to be a part of the Greenbay Animal Hospital team! She grew up in Iowa, attended the University of Northern Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. A small animal medical and surgical internship brought her to the Chicagoland area. After her internship, she worked at a specialty center for three years as an emergency doctor. She then spent about one and a half years focusing on her passion for neurology and carried that over into the realm of general practice.
Dr. Fitzgerald enjoys all areas of veterinary medicine yet still has a strong dedication towards neurology, emergency medicine and surgery. She has an interest in client education, geriatric pet care and pain management while fostering the human-animal bond. She is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association (ISVMA), Chicago Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA).
Erin Feucht, DVM
Dr. Erin Feucht graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois (U of I) in 2010. She also completed undergraduate studies at U of I, majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology. She practiced in the Chicago area for six years before joining Green Bay Animal Hospital in June 2016. Her special interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, senior pet care and anesthesia/pain management.
Dr. Erin enjoys meeting new people and desires to build long-term relationships with owners and their special pets. She is excited to be part of this team practicing high-quality medicine, striving to provide the best care possible for the patients and their owners.
Brooke Bartell, DVM
Dr. Brooke Bartell is an area native, having grown up in the west suburbs. She graduated from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana with both a BS in Animal Sciences and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to joining the Green Bay Animal Hospital team, Dr. Bartell worked at general practices in Maryland and Chicago and then spent the last 10 years in emergency medicine, most recently working at a large emergency and specialty practice in Chicago.
Dr. Bartell treats her patients as if they were her own, and takes pride in her hands-on approach to care. She always strives to provide clear options, compassion and support as she helps owners make the best possible choices they can for their furry family members.
