Dr. Barry Miller
In 1982, the University of Minnesota awarded Barry Miller his DVM degree and chose him to receive the Hennepin County Small Animal Clinician of the Year Award. Six years later Dr. Miller took over leadership of the Green Bay Hospital where his compassion extends to clients and community alike. He is interested in all aspects of internal medicine with special emphasis for communicating with clients on the health and care of their pets.
A member of CVMA, ISVMA, and AVMA, Dr. Miller was instumental in helping Green Bay Animal Hospital meet the standards for acceptance into AAHA. Additionally, he is a founder of the Rotary Club of Wilmette Harbor and is very active in supporting educational programs at New Trier, Evanston, Loyola and North Shore Country Day.
For more than 18 years the Special Education Students of the North Shore have enjoyed unlimited opportunities to learn and grow through work at the hospital. He also works closely with Save-A-Pet and Adopt-A-Pet to insure that these animals get the best care possible. Dr. Miller and his wife have three grown children and numerous pets.
When not working, he enjoys bicycling, tennis and has made the mistake of taking up golf.
Dr. Cindy Menke
Dr. Cindy Menke grew up on her family's small dairy farm in central Wisconsin. She attended UW-River Falls and earned an early acceptance into the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine prior to finishing her undergraduate degree. In 1999, she married her husband David and moved to North Carolina due to his military career. In 2002, Dr. Menke graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina State University. She practiced for a year in North Carolina before returning home to the Midwest.
Dr. Menke has been with Green Bay Animal Hospital since 2004. She enjoys all aspects of internal medicine and surgery. Dr. Menke believes strongly in client education, especially regarding pain management, senior pet care, and preventative medicine. She is passionate about continuing education and attends a major national veterinary convention each year to make sure she provides her patients with the latest information in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Menke currently lives in Wisconsin with her husband Dave, Border Collie mix Brantley and two cats, Grendle and Ember. Additionally, Dr. Menke is a member of the Phi Zeta honor society, American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, Illinois State Veterinary Association and Chicago Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Jennifer Siuty (Wuolo)
A Kenosha, Wisconsin native, Dr. Siuty is a proud University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate where she completed both her Bachelors of Science in Zoology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees. She was honored with the John G. Evans memorial award from the School of Veterinary Medicine clinicians at her graduation in 2006.
Following veterinary school, Dr. Siuty was accepted to her first-choice internship selection at the VCA Aurora and Berwyn Specialty Animal Hospitals in the western Chicago suburbs where she underwent extensive training and hands-on experience working with a wide variety of board-certified veterinarians. At the completion of the internship year, she was honored with the Intern of the Year award by the clinicians and staff. She then joined Green Bay Animal Hospital in July, 2007.
Professionally, her interests include ophthalmology, dermatology, nephrology and oncology. Personally, she enjoys running, swimming, and reading. In the fall of 2008, she married her wonderful husband Bob, and they are the proud owner of a rather energetic Pointer mix, Zoey.
Dr. Siuty is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Chicago Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA), and Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association (ISVMA).
Dr. Erica Periman
Dr. Erica Periman grew up in Evanston, IL, attended Beloit College and graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. She spent 2+ years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in South America where she started the first free spay/neuter clinic in conjunction with the Charles Darwin Station on the Galapagos Islands. A move to Jackson, Wyoming brought many years working in small animal medicine and surgery as well as treating a few horses and injured birds of prey. She volunteers for a free spay/neuter clinic in Mexico every year through the non-profit organization VIDAS. She and her family of human kids, four-legged kids, and husband moved back to Evanston in the Fall of 2008 and she is happy to be a member of the Green Bay Animal Hospital team.
